Led by ACBK in partnership with RSPB and BirdLife International, this long-running project (since 2004) supports conservation of the Sociable Lapwing by improving understanding of breeding performance, migration routes, and wintering ecology.
This ACBK–RSPB initiative builds on earlier UK Aid support to reduce key threats driving Steppe Eagle declines in Kazakhstan—especially mortality on hazardous power infrastructure—while strengthening national capacity and policy action.
This joint ACBK–RSPB project strengthens protection of migratory raptors along the Central Asian Flyway by linking biodiversity conservation with safer and more reliable rural energy infrastructure.
