Community-based Conservation Efforts for Waterbirds in Coastal Bangladesh

Since 2023, this project has focused on conserving waterbirds in the coastal areas of Bangladesh through community engagement. It involved raising awareness among local school students, fishers, and community members about waterbirds and their habitats, and distributing educational leaflets to reinforce this information. The project promotes sustainable practices among those who depend on wetlands for their livelihoods to help protect critical habitats. By combining education and outreach, the project aims to empower local communities and support the long-term conservation of waterbirds in the region.
