Celebrating World Migratory Bird Day with Local Communities to Raise Awareness in Bangladesh

Since 2023, this project has focused on celebrating World Migratory Bird Day in coastal and inland areas of Bangladesh to engage local communities and raise awareness about migratory waterbirds and their habitats. Activities include showing video documentaries on waterbirds, organizing drawing competitions among school students, conducting community outreach sessions, and developing and distributing leaflets highlighting the importance of waterbirds and their habitats among local people. Through these initiatives, the project aims to foster local stewardship and support long-term conservation efforts for migratory birds in the region.
