The Central Asian Conservation Network and its Flyway Sites Working Group are honoured to invite you to the launch of their new initiative FLYWAY CONNECT on 11 September 2026.
Flyway Connect is a brand new initiative developed in partnership with Birdcount India and our member and partner organizations aiming to enhance knowledge about flyway sites and migration routes across the Central Asian Flyway. It connects conservationists and researchers using GPS trackers to study migratory movements, with birdwatchers and local initiatives across the CAF to foster resighting and exchange of information about staging, non-breeding and breeding sites. The ultimate goal is to increase connectivity between all actors and catalyze conservation actions across borders, at a Flyway level.
For this first year, the CACN is proud to announce that 9 tagged birds coming from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Reunion Island (France) and Uzbekistan will take part in this initiative.
