Overview
This working group aims to establish a flyway bird ringing network — a regional bird banding collaboration linking to Russian ringing centres. The vision is to support ringing programmes across Central Asia, ideally covering up to 30 countries, based on volunteer networks. Russia takes a lead role in coordinating ringing in the CAF with support for obtaining bands and distributing them.
