Internship & Volunteering Programmes Working Group

Overview

The Internship & Volunteering Programme supports capacity development of young conservationists and enthusiasts by providing hands-on experience with conservation organisations across the Central Asian Flyway.

Why This Programme Matters

Building long-term conservation capacity in the CAF requires investing in people- especially youth, early-career professionals, and students from across the region.

Key Objectives

  • Develop practical skills in research and conservation
  • Foster cross-cultural and cross-border learning
  • Build a new generation of flyway conservation leaders
  • Strengthen CACN member organisations through placements

Core Activities

  • International and regional internships
  • Volunteer placements with CACN partners
  • Mentoring and professional networking
  • Exposure to field, policy, and community-based conservation
